The next League update will have even more surprises.

The upcoming League of Legends patch 10.13 is shaping up to be pretty big. We already covered most of the expected, but in the meantime, it looks like there will be even more heading our way.

A tweet by Mark "Riot Scruffy" Yetter, lead game designer, confirmed - at least for now - the changes that were already making the rounds. However, Scruffy's latest tweet showed there were several other changes:

Keystone nerfs

First, two very popular keystone masteries - Conqueror and Guardian - both saw nerfs. Conqueror now has 12 stacks, but the effects per stack are significantly lower - from 2-5 adaptive force, they now give 1.7-4.2. It mostly evens out at max stacks, but you will feel the difference until then. Guardian, meanwhile, loses a significant amount of its base shield, which from 80-200 HP is now down to 70-150. The bonus health and AP scaling are still there, but the difference might just be enough to get someone killed.

Return of the AP builds?

On the flip side, apparently Riot are looking into some more unusual builds, because two relatively common “side builds” receive interesting nerfs. Ability power will be more rewarding on Kog’Maw and Nunu. Kog’s AP scaling goes from 0.5 to 0.7 on his Q and from 0.25 to 0.35 on his ultimate. The buffs to Nunu’s AP build are even more impressive: the scaling on his Q increases both for damage (from 0.5 to 0.65) and healing (0.7 to 1.0). On top of that, the ultimate shield now scales with AP with a very generous 1.5 ratio. Oof

What goes in champion select stays in champions select… no more.

What is even more interesting is that Riot is set to reinforce its anti-toxicity measures with some champion select reporting and mute tools. This is something players have called for for a long time, especially as many believed that the system was not able to fully check pre-game flaming or griefing. The update will bring the option to mute players in this game stage as well.

Is there a doctor in the game?

Finally. The update is expected to feature visual effects for the “ninja medic’ skin line - specifically Nurse Akali, Surgeon Shen, and M.D. Kennen. The classics will get a new touch alongside a set of chromas that, according to sources, will be part of a charity-themed bundle to support and celebrate healthcare workers. This points towards Riot donating some or all the profits to NGOs that assist people working in the healthcare industry, though details are still rather rare.

It sounds like there will be a lot of changes introduced in about a week’s time.
