With the coronavirus still a major concern in most countries, travelling anywhere or gathering big crowds is simply not possible. After we saw numerous official Dota 2 events get canceled, it was only natural that organizers will switch to online tournaments as the next best thing. WePlay! were quick to announce WeSave Charity Play, an event dedicated to fighting COVID-19. The $120 000 prize pool will aid those global efforts.
We’ve already covered the initial list of teams, but over the course of the last few days more joined in. The first among the new entries were two-time The International winners OG. Next up were Vici gaming, Evil Geniuses, Cloud9 and PSG.LGD and others with the final two joining being B8 and Team Adroit. The final list for the event is as follows:

As it was initially announced the total number of teams is twenty four with exactly four teams for each of the six regions.
Each region will compete for a prize of $20 000, but the money will actually go to organizations fighting the coronavirus outbreak.

This is where it gets tricky as games will be played out in a pretty random manner and not one region per day.

The event will kick off tomorrow with some of the first matches. Starting this Friday, the event will reach its grand finals exactly a week from now on March 26. An official stream with commentary will be available in both English and Russian.
