After the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077 back on December 10, CD Projekt Red continues its scramble to fix the game with the next update. Patch 1.07 will continue to make major improvements to the game’s performance, including a multitude of bug fixes and quality of life adjustments.

Cyberpunk 2077’s latest update 1.07 will launch soon for next-gen, last-gen and PC platforms, hopefully offering further relief to players who want to stick around. Whilst many outlets have reviewed the game positively on PC, the console versions were plagued with issues on launch, and the issues persist.

CD Projekt Red (CDPR) have not yet released patch notes for Patch 1.07, and a lot has been riding on the series of updates released since launch. So far so good, we suppose, but not everything is dandy, with the game still suffering regular crashes, tons of bugs (some game-breaking), and awful performance especially on last-gen consoles.

We want to make it clear that for players who wish to purchase the game, the PC and next-gen console editions are not without their issues. They are certainly better, boasting improved performance, higher-quality and downright impressive graphical fidelity, and increased playability – but they are still riddled with bugs, crashes, and other assorted problems.

What Do We Know About Patch 1.07?

In regard to a release date, nothing specific has been announced as of writing. However, EarlyGame and assorted other outlets expect, from CDPR’s previous track-record, that it will be released either just-before the new Year, or in the first week of 2021. Hopefully we are right!

From what we know so far, it seems that Patch 1.07 will focus on specific issues related to game crashes, frame-rate lag, stability and game-breaking bugs. There is so much to be fixed in Cyberpunk 2077 that we cannot expect too much from individual updates. But it would be nice if the game did not crash every 30 f**king seconds!

Yeah, okay, that was an exaggeration, but still. The update will work like all other updates – in other words, once it drops, it will be very easy to install! We are awaiting patch notes and have not received much information so far. There has been no word from CDPR since their Patch 1.06 press release on December 23.

As of writing, CD Projekt Red has refused all of our requests for comment. The only available information provided has been that which is publicly available through press statements. We will get back to you with all the latest information as it rolls in.
