God of War from 2018 is one of the best games of the past few years. Sony has now released the free PS5 update, which gives the adventure of Kratos and Atreus a new shine and makes us really want to play the game again.
It's been almost three years since we shook up the Norse mythology with the god slayer Kratos and his son Atreus in the God of War reboot. The PS4-exclusive title already cut a fine figure on the PlayStation 5, but thanks to the new PS5 upgrade, the technology steps up a notch.
God of War PS5 Update Released
Since yesterday evening, the PS5 update for God of War has been available for download on Sony's latest console. The patch can be downloaded free of charge for all owners of the game (digitally or on disc) and makes the already impressive graphics board look even more spiffy.
The "Enhanced Performance Experience Update", as the patch is called, allows you to enjoy God of War in 4K resolution at a constant 60 FPS - until now, you had to choose between one of the two options on the PlayStation 5. More details can be found in the developers' blog entry.

If you haven't played God of Waryet, you should definitely do so now. After all, you can expect one of the best and most beautiful games of the last console generation. And PS5 owners can download the title for free as part of the PS Plus Collection.
EarlyGame says: God of War is the game of the year 2018 for us. The emotional story about Kratos and Atreus offers much more depth than previous series installments, but the brutal action is not neglected either. Every PlayStation owner must have played this game! Part 2 under the name God of War Ragnarok is supposed to be launched this year.
