Sony Gives Away Gifts: Get 4 Free Games for PS4 & PS5

Did someone say gifts? That's right: To make the dreary time during the lockdown a little more bearable, Sony is giving you a total of four free games for PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 until the summer. The "Play At Home" initiative is back - thank you, Sony!

Last April, Sony gave you the two PS4 games Journey and Knack 2 as part of the "Play At Home" initiative to bridge the COVID lockdown. Now, nearly a year later, the virus is still keeping the world locked and Good-Guy Sony is stepping in once again. 4 free games for PS4 and PS5 await you through June.

4 free PS4 games in 4 months

Until June 2021, you can secure a free PS4 game every month that you can also use on the PlayStation 5 - if you are one of the lucky owners of the next-gen console.

On the PlayStation Blog, the Japanese write:

In these historic times, the team at PlayStation wanted to thank the community by giving something back. These days, we could all use something to look forward to and another reason to stay safely socially distanced, so we are happy to be able to offer a free selection of great games and some entertainment offers.

Kicking things off is the motley action-adventure game Ratchet & Clank, which you can download for free starting at 05:00 CET on March 1, 2021.

Apart from the fact that the game is a really successful and crazy single-player adventure, you can refresh your knowledge for the PS5 successor Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which will be released in June.

More PS4 free games in the coming months

At the beginning of the month, you can expect three more free games for PlayStation 4 until June. However, Sony has not yet revealed which titles they are. If the games are announced, you will of course find out first at EarlyGame!

As part of the "Play At Home" initiative, there will also be additional offers on entertainment in the coming months. Starting on March 25, you can expect extended access for new subscribers of the anime streaming service Wakanim. Sony plans to reveal more details about the free games and offers on entertainment in the coming weeks.
