Resident Evil Film Poster — **10. RESIDENT EVIL SERIES (2002-2016):** The Resident Evil movies by Paul W.S. Anderson are scorned by many and loved by just as many - after all, there are 6 parts of them! You have to admit: they are really trashy and often really bad but they can also be fun! The first part is a pretty good thriller, which comes closest to the horror atmosphere of the first Resi games. The rest of the series is wacky trash action, where some parts are cruel and some are really entertaining. (Credit: Constantin Film)

Street Fighter Movie Poster — **9. STREET FIGHTER (1994):** The first film adaptation of the legendary fighting game series Street Fighter has become an absolute cult classic. Everything was really screwed up here: most of the roles are completely miscast, the characters are wildly scrambled in a completely pointless and stupid story, and the action is laughably weak, especially when compared to modern titles. Therefore, there's a delightful trash factor that ends up being kind of fun. (Credit: Universal)

Doom film the rock — **8. DOOM (2005):** The film adaptation of the legendary shooter series DOOM commits all the classic sins of a video game adaptation - the film is boring, cheaply produced, and has about as much in common with the original as the Doom Slayer has with Animal Crossing. BUT: There is this one cool sequence from the first-person perspective which most fans love. It can't pull the cart out of the mud but at least there's something good. (Credit: Universal)

Warcraft film — **7. WARCRAFT: THE BEGINNING (2016):** You have to hand it to the Warcraft movie - it basically looks like Warcraft. Duncan Jones is obviously identifiable as a fan of the video games but unfortunately, just not a good director. The film is a disappointment from start to finish and nothing fits or makes sense. The editing is a disaster and at the end of the day, you just wonder what it was all about. Too bad, because there was a lot of potential here. (Credit: Legendary Pictures/Universal)

Max payne film — **6. MAX PAYNE (2008):** Ugh. Get rid of it. Just forget this one exists. We don't want to say too much about this dull movie and just want to emphasize that Mark "Marky Mark" Wahlberg was probably the worst casting choice for Max Payne. Better watch Man on Fire and enjoy the parallels to Max Payne 3. (Credit: 20th Century Fox)

Hitman agent 47 film action — **5. HITMAN: AGENT 47 (2015):** This film is a slap in the face for every Hitman fan. Nothing here matches up with the terrific game template, which is all about disguising, sneaking around, and quietly taking out a target. Instead, it's a mindless action with bad actors and you can easily compare it to an Uwe Boll movie. Speaking of Boll... (Credit: 20th Century Fox)

Dungeon Siege Film Poster — **4. IN THE NAME OF THE KING: A DUNGEON SIEGE TALE:** Of course, we have to pay tribute to the king of bad video game adaptations. This list could actually only consist of Uwe Boll movies, but we didn't want to go that far. Mr. Boll's adaptation of the Dungeon Siege games is indeed one of his greatest crimes, lifeless nonsense that can't even be credited with a trashy fun factor. (Credit: 20th Century Fox)

Super mario bros film bowser — **3. SUPER MARIO BROS (1993):** Mamma Mia. By now, everyone probably knows what a disaster this film was. Not only did they completely miss the tone of the, at the time quite minimalist, original, they completely overshot the mark. Blade Runner sci-fi dystopia in which a Bowser as a slick mob boss commands koopas that look like dinos. Wut. One saving grace is that Mario is a canonical last name for Mario & Luigi. Mortal Kombat film Goro — **2. MORTAL KOMBAT: ANNIHILATION (1995):** After the first Mortal Kombat movie, which is total trash but very entertaining, came Annihilation. It's a true continuation of the first one as it is rightfully considered one of the worst movies of all time. Simply everything was messed up and to represent that, we spoil you with a picture of the cruelly ugly plastic Baraka. (Credit: New Line Cinema)

Alone in the Dark Film — **1. ALONE IN THE DARK (2005):** Probably the crowning achievement of Uwe Boll's repertoire. A film so bad that it not only has a Metacritic rating of 9% and Rotten Tomatoes of 1%, but it was also absolutely destroyed verbally by the maker of great horror games.
