A new patch is now available for the Nordic multiplayer game Valheim, which is still a big hit. Besides a handful of smaller details, it brings a big change for dedicated servers and also optimizes the game balance, making wolves a bit less... potent.
Let's start with the dedicated servers before we get to the horny wolves. This new update ensures that dedicated Valheim servers will now always use direct connections instead of using the Steam Datagram Relay (SDR) system. According to developer Iron Gate, this should make for better connections and less lag.
This should result in much lower latency for most players. I really hope this patch solves a lot of connection issues that have been introduced in patches over the past few weeks.
Also, the new update for Valheim includes a change that makes it less likely that wolves will mate. The patch notes state that the update "lowered wolf procreation slightly". The developers apparently thought that the wolves were producing an unnatural amount of pups, so that's why the wolves are a little less horny now. Never go horny on main.
