Zendikar Rising is officially out and we can finally play with all the cool new things Wizards have been teasing for the past month. MTGA players even get a small present to begin their path inside the plane of adventure. Here’s how to get it.
Zendikar Rising: Free Packs
As it is the tradition with MTG Arena, every time a new set drops, players are treated with some free packs to kick off their collections. These are not awarded upon login, though. What you need to do is go to the in-game store and put in the code PLAYZENDIKAR. This will unlock your packs so you can open them like normal.
Free Full Art Lands
Zendikar is iconic for its lands and especially its full-art basics. Luckily, you can get some of these inside MTGA without having to pay extra for them (like you need to do with the Amonkeht full arts, for example). Up until October 15, every Zendikar Rising Limited event (Sealed and Drafts) that you enter will also unlock one full-art basic land.

Some Other Freebies
Coincidentally, this particular set also marks the rotation of the previous Standard environment and the beginning of the new one. Ravnica Allegiance, Guilds of Ravnica, War of the Spark, and M20 are no longer playable in Standard, but Wizards are making up for the sad loss of cards like Mayhem Devil with the inclusion of 10 Rare cards. If you’ve owned (and logged in) the game before September 19, 2020, you will just get your free cards when you enter the game.
