EA FC 24 has announced a surprisingly early end to the TOTW series with TOTW 30. In addition to the complete end-of-season sprint of the leagues, EA is also leaving out the excitement of Wednesday evenings for all players.
EA FC 24 wraps up the TOTW series earlier than ever this year. Last year, in FIFA 23, there were nominally even fewer TOTWs than this year, with 26, but there was also an interruption of the special team offerings due to the World Cup held in winter.
EA FC 24: Team of the Week Is Done For The Season
There won't be a TOTW anymore. But beware, this only applies to the current installment from EA. The popular feature will surely return to EA FC 25, but for this season, it's over.
If you look at the EA SPORTS FC X account, you can see that the Team Of The Week 30 is the last of its kind. The TOTW 30 post contains the message that it is the last in FC24.

Has TOTW Been Reduced To A Supporting Role?
EA doesn't seem pleased about the fact that the TOTW, once a highlight of the week, increasingly seems to be taking on a supporting role. The inform cards, which were hyped at the beginning of the game, receive upgrades that are too weak to remain interesting in the late game.
But apparently, its diminished status not only comes from the weak upgrades. Rather, it's because EA overwhelms us with a ton of other special cards throughout the year.
The trend from publisher EA clearly shows that the inform cards become uninteresting faster as the year progresses. On the part of the game developer, efforts are made to counter this. Some players, marked with a star, receive an extra upgrade that brings more than the usual +1 OVR inform upgrade. However, this still doesn't make many of the cards more interesting.
