Midas is back in Fortnite! The man who turns even lava into gold is bringing back the popular Floor is Lava Mode. The last time this mode was playable in Fortnite was back in Chapter 1 Season 8. And although it was one of the most popular modes by far, it never made a comeback – until now!
In "Midas Presents: Floor is Lava", you will also be able to solve new Challenges and unlock new free items.
Fortnite Midas Presents: Floor is Lava Explained
Floor is Lava is a mode from Fortnite Chapter 1. It works like the well-known "The Floor is Lava" children's game. After a short time, lava begins to rise from the island's ground. Gradually it covers even the highest mountains of the island until finally, nothing of the landscape is visible anymore. However, players can build on the lava and receive materials automatically over time. But if you touch the lava, you suffer damage and can even die!
As the lava continues to rise, the storm circle also gets smaller. Like in Battle Royale, the last one standing wins. In Midas' new edition, there are also items like balloons and Crash Pad Jr. And the lava now appears in golden brilliance! And of course, the Drum Gun is a must!
Fortnite "Midas Presents: Floor Is Lava" Challenges & Rewards
Midas Presents: Floor is Lava has brought its own challenges to the game, which are available until the end of Midas' rise, until April 2., 2024, at 9 AM ET. With these challenges, you not only earn a bunch of XP for your Battle Pass but also new Locker items if you complete a certain number of them:
- “Lightning King” Spray: Complete 3 "Midas Presents: Floor is Lava" challenges
- “Zeus Medallion” Spray: Complete 6 "Midas Presents: Floor is Lava" challenges
- “The Gilded Vengeance” Pickaxe: Complete 12 "Midas Presents: Floor is Lava" challenges
