Metallica is finally in Fortnite, and you can even win an exclusive emote for free in the Metallica Cup! That is, if you're among the top players in your region. We have all the details about the Fortnite tournament for you.
Fortnite Metallica Cup: Schedule & Format
The Metallica Cup takes place on June 18 at different times in the following regions:
- Europe: 7:00 PM CEST
- North America: 2:00 AM CEST (June 19)
- Brazil: 11:00 PM CEST
- Asia: 11:00 AM CEST
- Oceania: 10:00 AM CEST
- Middle East: 5:00 PM CEST
It is a team tournament held in Fortnite's regular Battle Royale mode. You can either play solo with fill, or with three fixed mates, participating in up to ten matches within a three-hour window in your region.
So grab your mates and start practicing, because it's almost time!
Participation
To participate in the Metallica Cup, you and your mates (if playing with fixed mates) must be together in a lobby. Simply select the Metallica Cup in the Fortnite Compete tab at the start of the tournament and join the queue. Players must have Two-Factor Authentication enabled and verified for their Epic account, be at least Account Level 15, and have reached Bronze I rank or higher in Ranked Battle Royale.
Scoring System
Points are awarded for both placements and eliminations, with each elimination earning you and your mate one point. Placement points are as follows:
- Victory Royale: 62 points
- 2nd Place: 52 points
- 3rd Place: 45 points
- 4th Place: 40 points
- 5th Place: 35 points
- 6th Place: 30 points
- 7th Place: 28 points
- 8th Place: 26 points
- 9th Place: 24 points
- 10th Place: 22 points
- 11th Place: 20 points
- 12th Place: 18 points
- 13th Place: 16 points
- 14th Place: 14 points
- 15th Place: 12 points
- 16th Place: 10 points
- 17th Place: 8 points
- 18th Place: 6 points
- 19th Place: 4 points
- 20th Place: 2 points
Fortnite Metallica Cup: Prizes
The top players in each region can win the "The Ringer" Emote for free.
Here's an overview of all regions:
- Europe: Top 2,600 teams receive prizes
- North America: Top 2,000 teams receive prizes
- Brazil: Top 500 teams receive prizes
- Asia: Top 500 teams receive prizes
- Oceania: Top 200 teams receive prizes
- Middle East: Top 200 teams receive prizes
