Arcane Season 2 is still months away, but the hype is slowly building up. Of course, Riot will first hold two big international esports tournaments before, but we're not here to wax poetic about MSI or Worlds 2024.

Instead, some new hints at what could await fans in Piltover & Zaun have dropped thanks to Ella Purnell, the voice actress of Jinx. She spoke to TechRadar and her comments on the end of the second season already has fans in shambles.

Arcane Season 2: Ella Purnell Admits She Cried While Recording Final Episode

The original run for the first season of Arcane was back in 2021. Three years later and we're finally getting a continuation of the story, but Riot and animation studio Fortiche have done an excellent job of keeping leaks at bay, leaving fans with virtually nothing.

Of course, we do know that Warwick will likely play a key role, with his inclusion in the cast already being teased by Riot themselves. But other than that? Nothing.

Actress Ella Purnell recently spoke to TechRadar and when asked about Arcane and while she didn't divulge too much information, she did state that when she went to the studio to finish up her recordings, she ended up crying.

I actually just went back into the studio to complete some ADR [automated dialog replacement] for the season 2 finale – and I cried. So, I think other people will cry, too. It's devastating, and nobody will feel good after watching it.

While we don't find out much about the plot through this, it does suggest that there are some emotional scenes heading our way. Of course, it's highly unlikely that characters like Jinx or Vi will get killed off, since Riot has stated that Arcane is part of the Runeterra canon now. But that doesn't mean a secondary anime-only character isn't going to die, right?
