Vanguard, the anti-cheat software that has been used by Valorant is coming to League of Legends, but the integration will take some more time.
League of Legends is changing things up by adding Vanguard to the game to try and stop cheaters from scripting and ruining games. This has caused some controversy within the community due to some content creators unable to do certain things going forward.
But now it seems like the integration of this system is going to have to wait a bit longer, with it getting pushed back another patch cycle.
League of Legends Vanguard Integration Rescheduled
Originally the addition of Vanguard was supposed to happen in February, but Riot is going to have to push it back, due to some "critical bugs with the client pop-up". So, for those who were worried about Vanguard, you can breathe easy for a bit longer.
With LoL Patch 14.3 releasing on February 7, Riot is going to be running some diagnostic checks on players computers to see whether the anti cheat system can be added onto it.
Then the launch of Vanguard should take place in March. The patch Riot is eyeing for a release is Patch 14.5, which is set to release March 6. Until then, they will fix the issues with Vanguard and the client.
