Skill Issue: LoL Dev Tells Redditor To Get Coaching

Another day and another post on Reddit bemoaning one's current League of Legends rank. This is nothing new, but what is new is the LoL devs basically insinuating that it's a player's skill and not the ranking system.

League of Legends is a competitive game that can cause players to get pretty frustrated when they lose. Throughout the years, players have taken their complaints about the game to Reddit, venting their frustration to a part of the community.

Well, one player has done that, but they likely didn't think that one of the devs from League of Legends would see their rant and even reply to them.

LoL Dev Tells Player To Get Coaching To Improve

Improving in League of Legends can feel like a grind sometimes. If you were a higher rank in the previous season and just keep dropping as well, it might also feel extremely frustrating and annoying. On Reddit, one support main let out their annoyance with the game, stating that in Season 13 they were Plat and in Season 14 have dropped to Silver.

This post caught the attention of none other than Lead gameplay designer Riot Phroxzon. He replied to the post stating that it "it might help to get some coaching".

It might help to get some coaching. If you don't know what you're doing wrong and you're plat you're probably doing hundreds of things wrong per game.

In simple terms, Phroxzon basically siad that this looks more like a skill issue than any actual problems with the game and the ranking system itself. Phroxzon has been vocal since the start of Season 14, even checking players op.gg accounts to try and find reasons why players might be losing an abnormal amount of LP.
