While the first Dune was no box office mega hit like Avengers: Endgame, which made around $2.8 billion, it did manage to snag 6 Oscars when it released and had a decent rating of 8.8 on IMDB. It seems that the second parts emotional weight and visuals have shot it to the top of the ratings.
So, if you haven't watched Dune, yet, it's about time because it seems like the second part is going to bring the series to the next level for critics and regular viewers.
