Netflix and the BBC are creating a brand-new series together: Lockerbie and one of the actors has been revealed as an iconic actor from Suits.
Netflix And the BBC are working together to create a 6-episode mini-series called Lockerbie. The series is going to first air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, but will then be made available internationally on Netflix.
On March 5, 2024 the BBC revealed the cast of the 6-episode series and one name stood out right away, especially to long time Suits fans.
Netflix Series Lockerbie To Feature Suits Character
It's been revealed that Patrick J. Adams is going to be a part of the 6-episode series from Netflix and the BBC. He is best known for his role as Mike Ross on Suits. What his role in Lockerbie is going to be has not been revealed yet.
The December 1988 terrorist attack on Pan Am Flight 103, known as the Lockerbie bombing, occurred over Lockerbie, Scotland, when a bomb exploded onboard, killing all 259 people on the flight and 11 on the ground. This act of terrorism is attributed to Libyan nationals, leading to decades-long international investigations and sanctions.
The series is going to follow the events of the December 1988 terrorist attack on Pan Am Flight 103. The show will focus on the investigation after the incident, with viewpoints from both ends of the Atlantic Ocean. The crash was investigated by both the FBI, as well as the Scottish Police, meaning we're going to get a unique collaborative effort in the series.
The series is also going to focus on events that unfolded much later, but still as part of a ripple effect from the initial bombing.
There is no official release date yet, but the series sounds very interesting. Filming in Scottland has just begun, so we are going to have to wait a while longer until we find out more details on the series.
