Pro Evolution Soccer didn’t only come with a new name and branding, but also with a slew of new stadiums. Manchester United’s Old Trafford is the jewel in the crown of PES 2020, with a number of other notable playing fields joining the PES family this year.
In total, eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer 2020 swoops in with 31 licensed stadiums, improving upon PES 2019’s 25. It wasn’t all addition for Konami, though, as Champions League winners Liverpool’s Anfield, present last year, is now out of the frame, with arch rivals United’s Old Trafford taking its place. Estadio Nacional de Chile – located in the Chilean capital Santiago, is also dropped from the game.
On the positive side, another grand hit for the developers this year is Bayern München. Just like Man United, the German side signed a partnership deal with PES and thus their stadium – the mighty beautiful Allianz Arena, naturally finds its way into the game. Joining the fray is another Allianz sponsored ground – the Allianz Stadium in Turin, home of Juventus, completing the Holy Trinity of new PES 2020 stadiums.
The remainder of the new batch of stadiums seemingly aims to expand the game’s European profile, with all but one located in the Old Continent. The full licensed stadiums list included in eFootball PES 2020 can be seen below, with the new ones shown in bold:
