Microsoft's streaming service xCloud, which is part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, is currently only available for Android devices. Users have been waiting for a long time to be able to use the service on a PC via a browser. That could soon be possible, a report reveals.
According to a report from The Verge, which refers to insider sources, the company is currently intensively testing xCloud for PC browsers. The tests are said to be a run-up to a "public preview". We don't know what exactly that means, but we're heavily assuming an open beta.
Similar to how xCloud currently works on Android tablets and phones, the web version includes a simple launcher with recommendations for games, the ability to resume recently played titles and access to all cloud games available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
