Rejoice, esports fans, your Overwatch Contenders is back and better than ever with a brand-new schedule to keep you in the loop. Keep reading to find out the full details!
Overwatch fans have yet another outlet to binge-watch their favorite teams, with the full schedule being posted for the public. This year, they've even partnered with TaKeTV for us in Europe and even in North America, which means that everything will be in one single studio for cross-regional talent (more on the talent at the end), so let's get into it all.
When are the broadcasting times?
The casting team will bring commentary for select Contenders matches on Tuesdays, as well as all of the weekly semifinals and finals matches on Thursdays and Fridays for both Europe and North America!
Who will be playing?
Going into Season 1 of 2020, Overwatch Contenders held a seeding tournament that determined which teams would start the year in and which teams would need to fight their way up from Trials. Below are the teams that have qualified for both divisions following the seeding tournament, as well as the teams that have just qualified through the Open Division.
What can you expect?
You can expect some top-notch professional Overwatch gameplay with an amazing casting talent with some pretty damn good teams. From Europe, a good team to keep an eye on is Angry Titans who have a good track record of stomping games. On the North American front, a notable team to watch out for would be Noble as you should not count them out until the last second of the game. All teams in the Contenders bracket have something to fight for, so all are worth watching if you have the time.
Where can you watch?
