Roblox Announce "Aged-Up Content" For 17+
While rumors of a Tinder feature in Roblox might not be true, we can at least confirm that mature experiences for adult users will be allowed on the platform soon. Per the recent announcement from Roblox themselves:
The fastest-growing age group on Roblox is 17-to-24-year-olds and in 2022, 38% of our daily active users were 17 and over. As a natural evolution, we’re now allowing creators to make content specifically for this audience. Only those who have verified that they’re at least 17 will be able to create or consume these experiences.
Thankfully, you will need to verify your age to access these experiences, and so we don't think any pearl-clutching is called for just yet. Still, this does open the door for seriously "excessive" content on the platform, so we aren't totally comfortable with the whole scheme.
