Retals has lost $1000 USD to Guild Esports in an impromptu EU vs. NA competition, organized to replace what would have been the RLCS X World Championships. The game was hosted by recently retired Dillon "Rizzo" Rizzo, amongst other popular casters. What on earth happened?
The RLCS X Championships will be held as regional tournaments in 2021, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. With everything shifting online, North America and Europe will not compete in RLCS X, only opting to find out who is the champions of respective regions.

Why Did Retals Challenge Guild Esports to an EU vs NA Match?
In response from taunts from Guild Esports, American pro Slater "Retals" Thomas issued a challenge to Guild Esports. To settle the dispute of "which region is the Rocket League Master?", Retals challenged Guild Esports to an unofficial match – he even included a $1000 USD prize for the winner... out of his own money! Now, that's confidence!
please let me firstkiller and any good east na pro that wants to join us play guild in a bo7 on eu ping @JohnnyBoi_i i'll throw up a grand for winner

The challenge came as a response to Guild Esport's Noly, who claimed that M0nkeyM00n was "one hundred percent" better than NA player Firstkiller. That fight had to be resolved, so Retals put his money on the line in this latest non-official competition!
What Happened in the EU vs NA Match?
Guild Esports beat the North American team 4-1 in an impressive showing that absolutely proved Noly's belief that the European players were better than their North American counterparts. Sorry Retals, confidence ain't going to get you anywhere if you aren't as good as your competitors!
Retals competed alongside Jason "Firstkiller" Corral and Reed "Chicago" Wilen against Guild Esports, even on European Servers. But, alas, this was to no avail. Guild Esports wiped the floor with Retals' team, we all had a laugh, and Retals donated $1000 USD to charity. All in all, it was a great time, and a lot of fun for all those involved.
Waste of our time.NA just lost the right to chat anything bad about EU until worlds next year.Guild B tier, not top 5, NA so so good blah blah blah.Roll on the NA excuses that are incoming :DGGs https://t.co/gkI7kxvT9h

Who Streamed the EU vs NA Match?
Dillon "Rizzo" Rizzo streamed the EU vs NA Match alongside Pierre "Turbopolsa" Silfver and Demar "Dazerin" Williams. It was a fun time had by all, and a worthy replacement for the RLCS X that should have been. It's always great when disappointment is made up for with a nice, lighthearted and fun competition like this one. Cheers, boys!
