The Grog is a divisive Vehicle in Rocket League, and it is hard to really understand why. That's why it's time for us to dive into The Grog Vehicle in Rocket League, discuss the statistics, and ask the question: is The Grog an over-powered Rocket League Vehicle?

In Rocket League, everybody has an opinion, because everybody has their own playstyle. Some things are set – like a vehicle's hitbox, for example – but a lot is up to the likes and dislikes of the player. The aesthetic that pleases them, the way they want to play, whether they are a casual or a hardcore Rocket League fan. That's what makes The Grog so interesting in Rocket League – it's so divisive.

What Is The Grog in Rocket League?

  • Release Date: December 1, 2015
  • Body Type / Hitbox: Octane
  • DLC Pack: Chaos Run
  • Rarity: Very Rare / Legacy (for pre-ftp players)

The Grog is a battle car vehicle released in 2015, but it has grown in popularity over the years. It has an Octane Hitbox, something that contributes to its divisiveness, due to its hitbox being bigger than the car model itself.

Keep in mind that, as you can see in the list above, the rarity of The Grog is dependent on the specific situation you find yourself in. If you do not already own The Grog, it has been considered a Legacy item since Rocket League became free-to-play. Prior to that, The Grog was considered Very Rare.

What Decals Are Available for The Grog?

  • Bomber
  • Cyclops
  • Lepus
  • Stripes
  • Tagged
  • Tribal

The Grog, like any vehicle in Rocket League, can also be equipped with any of the Black Market Decals. Check them out, they are bloody beautiful...

Is the Grog Overpowered?

The Grog is not overpowered, but it is very good. If you checked out the video above, you would see that it is pretty excellent as an offensive vehicle. Then again, you need to recognize a simple fact: The Grog is now an Octane Hitbox, so it is not so important. Since the hitbox update, everything is much more balanced so the whole 'debate' is kind of bollocks. That being said, The Grog is a little bit shorter than its hitbox, so it may look like you haven't even touched the ball... you have, it's okay, let's go and play Rocket League...
