It might have been a few months since RLCS X came to its dramatic close, and it may have been a quiet few months for Rocket League esports, but one player has been especially busy. Marc "Stake" Bosch Plugà is a Spanish Rocket League player, and joined Karmine Corp in July 2021. He's also EarlyGame's Rocket League Player of the Month for September 2021. Why? Well, you better keep reading.
Since RLCS X ended, Stake has had a bit of a tumultuous time. He, along with his co-player AztraL achieved reasonable results playing in RLCS X, but were let go by their previous Org shortly afterwards. Now, both players have joined Karmine Corp and are looking to RLCS 2021/2022 (Season 11) to become true Rocket League world champions. They haven't been lazy in the gap between RLCS X and RLCS 2021/2022, either. So, why is Stake EarlyGame's Rocket League Player of the Month for September 2021?

- Rocket League Player of the Month, June 2021: Monkey Moon
Who is Stake?
Stake is a 21-year-old Rocket League pro player, currently playing for the Karmine Corp Rocket League team. His approximate total winnings are about $53,000 USD, and he has been active since 2016, when he was just 16 years of age. He is a very popular Rocket League player, even having his own creator code: "StakeRL". He has scored highly in the RLCS since Season 9, and has also played for the Vodafone Giants.
In the RLCS X, Stake achieved reasonable results, but he is featured in this article for a significantly different reason: the recent WePlay Esports Invitation (Featuring Rocket League) Tournament. Coming out on top of the EMEA games, Karmine Corp managed to beat Team BDS in the Grand Finals. The results? Well, after a reasonable loss in the first game (the grand finals were best-of-three), with Team BDS claiming victory with a score of 4:2, Karmine Corp went on to claim victory in two consecutive matches. Scoring 4:1 and 4:2 respectively, Karmine Corp worked well as a team, and it was a fantastic debut for Stake.

The reason we have decided to crown Stake as EarlyGame's Rocket League Player of the Month for September 2021 is pretty simple, really. A young competitor, with huge potential, Stake achieved a lot in the RLCS X. After leaving his previous team, Stake has now joined Karmine Corp, and is playing better than ever. A true example of Rocket League stardom, and a true example of the kind of pro that makes Rocket League Esports the scene it is. Well done, Stake, and good luck at RLCS 11. We believe in you!
