This morning at 08:00 the Fortnite servers went offline. Meanwhile, Patch 13.20 is out and has a lot of content, including the wonderful Flare Gun.
The new update for the game was surprisingly announced yesterday evening. Since 08:00 AM the servers were down and as a result - the matchmaking system went offline half an hour before, at 07:30 am. A few hours later, Fortnite Patch 13.20 was out. This is the first major update of Season 3 in Fortnite. There are some new features.

Official Patch Notes
Hot new weapon
Fortnite added the Flare Gun to the game with the new update. It has the rarity level Rare and a reload time of 1.5 seconds. Its magazine size is 6 and according to the first players who have tried this weapon, it deals 60 damage to the body of the opponent.
Funnily enough, exactly one year ago Fortnite already released a short film in which the Flare Gun was teased. With today's update, it will finally be playable in-game.
Deployable workbench
To make it easier for players to upgrade and convert their weapons, Epic Games added a deployable workbench as an item. Whether this will actually be used in the future is not yet clear. After all, it would consume a precious inventory space that could otherwise be used for weapons and healing items.
LTM's are back
LTM's will finally be playable again for Season 3. Among them are some new ones and some we already know from the previous seasons.
A new hero appears
This week we get a powerful newcomer in the item shop. It's not yet clear which hero we will actually expect, but a leak indicates that we will soon be able to welcome Captain America in Fortnite. Due to the many cooperations with Marvel and DC, this wouldn't be that far-fetched. Also in the last season, we got more hero skins besides Deadpool, like the X-Force.

Unofficial Patch Notes
In addition to what Epic Games officially announced, we received other changes to the game. Just the more boring stuff like bug fixes and so on.
Most of the bugs that got changes were listed on the official Trello board of the game. These are as follows:
- After dropping from a Zipline, players may take fall damage when landing in shallow water.
- Epic and Legendary SMGs that drop are sometimes are not able to be Sidegraded.
- Storm Surge can be contributed to by damaging Marauders.
- We’re aware of an issue that is preventing players from gaining the healing effect of Chug Splashes when using them inside of a bush.
- Supply Drops, especially when found in vaults, may sometimes push loot inaccessibly under the map floor when opened.
These are some of the changes we have received with the new patch. We will probably see new Fortnite skins in the item shop in the near future, which we can look forward to.
