Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer’s tenure with Astralis is coming to an end. According to reports and the player himself, he has played his final game with the Danish organization and there are already speculations about his next destination.
A disappointed Snappi departs Astralis
Snappi was brought in as an emergency replacement for Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth when the latter opted to take leave from Astralis to deal with burnout and stress symptoms. These types of situations were supposed to be dealt with by Astralis’ intent on expanding their permanent roster – something which they’d already done by signing Jacob “JUGi” Hansen last month.

JUGi had been called up to the starting five, however, as team captain Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander also left Astralis because of stress-related issues. Astralis’ other signing – Patrick “es3tag” Hansen, is not joining the squad until July 1 and that left the Danish org in a predicament.
Given the circumstances, Snappi’s time with Astralis should not be judged so harshly. Regardless, these couple of weeks have been underwhelming for player and organization. In the aftermath of an early DreamHack Masters Spring Europe exit it seems like that underwhelming run is over.

The player’s own comments appear to suggest he’s played his final game with Nicolai “device” Reedtz and co. while a report by hltv suggests his next destination will be c0ntact Gaming. Snappi’s transfer from his current org TIGER is pretty much certain if the info about his name appearing on c0ntact’s submitted roster for cs_summit 6 is indeed true.
There’s still the question of whether the Dane will join c0ntact on a permanent basis or if it would be another loan. CG have been producing subpar results all year and a roster change feels well overdue. Our best bet is that this will be a full-time transfer and Snappi is going to replace Luka "emi" Vuković on the active roster. The Serbian veteran was the team’s coach before entering the lineup late last year and given his performances, it is perhaps the best move to take him back behind the scenes.
