The release is postponed and spoilers for the story were leaked. Last of Us 2 is worrying fans and there are some demands from the community.
The gaming world usually likes to take a close look, but in this case, many would rather close their eyes. Some details of the story of Last of Us 2 have been revealed, and it seems to be too much for some fans. Thanks to a couple of videos published on Reddit, the two central points of the story of the second part of Last of Us were made clear. Although these were immediately deleted from the platform, the internet never forgets anything. Without much effort, these videos can still be found to the frustration of many fans who don't want the plot of their favorite game spoiled.
Even before that, the community was not happy with the developer's decision to postpone the release of Last of Us 2 - for the second time, from 29 May to a future date that is yet unknown. The reason given was the coronavirus pandemic, but some fans think that the delay will only be true for the non-digital version, which cannot be produced at the moment due to the crisis. Now after the spoilers, voices are getting louder calling for an earlier digital release.

ATTENTION SPOILER: The leaked information
The spoilers that are currently circulating on the net show two details of the story of Last of Us 2 in particular, and before we go into that, one last warning: If you don't like to be spoiled, it's better not to read on now.
Spoiler 1
In the videos, you see Ellie and Dina, among others, whose relationship is clearly developing - from hugs to conversations in bed before being interrupted by Joel. So it's kind of clear where things are going.
Spoiler 2
The second one is the really big leak because speculations about Dina and Ellie's relationship have been around for a while, even if unconfirmed. In more of the spoiler videos, we see Joel being attacked and beaten up by bandits. Some already feared that the previous protagonist might inevitably die a heroic death - and this could be the exact scene when it happens.
We can understand the outcry of the community as nobody wants to know something like this as it's much better to experience it all firsthand. The question, of course, is how credible the scenes are and whether Joel really dies. Sony and Naughty Dog have not yet commented on this. And it also remains to be seen if they will respond to the fans' wishes concerning the release. There's also an "indefinite" amount of time for the developers to adapt and potentially alter certain parts of the game. Chances are the second delay wasn't caused by the pandemic, but by Naughty Dog's choice. The original Half-Life was scrapped and revised for a full year, so cases like that are definitely not something new in the gaming industry.
