Madden NFL 24 has been released. We have all the information about the new features in Madden Ultimate Team.

The Standard Edition will be released on August 18, and with the Deluxe Edition or Early Access, you can get early access to the game and gain an advantage in MUT.

If you pre-order the Deluxe Edition, you will also receive bonuses such as MUT Points, which will give you a significant advantage in the early stages of MUT.

Madden NFL 24 Ultimate Team: All New Features

EA has announced a total of seven seasons for MUT 24. This is intended to boost the content after the Super Bowl. In previous years, the excitement often faded after the Super Bowl, as the football season came to an end, and Madden slowly faded into oblivion. MUT 24 aims to change that.

New features introduced in Madden NFL 23, such as Moldbreakers, Mission MUT, and Gamechangers, will continue in Madden NFL 24.

For those who are new to football and Madden, EA has installed a new tutorial to make it easier for beginners to get started in Ultimate Team. Experienced players, of course, have the option to skip this tutorial.

New Item Catalog In MUT

Have you ever played against an opponent in Madden Ultimate Team Head to Head and they had an item that was completely unknown to you? Previously, there was no way to find out how to get that player for yourself. But now there's the Catalog, which aims to solve this problem.

The Catalog lists all items available in the game, and when you select an item, it provides you with detailed information on where and how to obtain it. Additionally, you can view the abilities of each player item, the AP cost of abilities, and the global usage of each player in Ultimate Team.

Madden NFL 24 Ultimate Team: Crossplay

MUT will have Crossplay for the first time! After a successful test phase of Crossplay in FIFA 22 and FIFA 23, the EA system is now mature enough to be installed in Madden as well. However, Crossplay is only available for Next-Gen, which means for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

You can find all further information about Madden NFL 24 Crossplay in this separate article.

Economy Changes Between Console Generations

The differences between the PS4 and PS5 versions of Madden NFL 24 are now so significant that it no longer makes sense to connect the two systems. The Old-Gen will be dropped (understandably), as the developers no longer invest any time in it.

For players transferring their Rookie Premiere players from the previous console generation to the new one, these players will remain available on both consoles as long as you use the same account you completed them on.

More details on this topic will be provided by EA Sports at a later date.

Madden NFL 24 Ultimate Team Champions

This year, the Champions will be released with an 87 rating. EA has more opportunities to respond to the current meta and keep the game exciting. The 32 Rookie Premiere players will have an 84 OVR rating at the time of Madden's release.

MUT Competitive Pass

The Competitive Pass has been revamped for Madden NFL 24. It will still cover Solo Battles, MUT Champs, and H2H Season. Instead of completely refreshing bi-weekly, each iteration of the Competitive Pass will now start on the first Friday of each new season and last the duration of that season.

To provide variety, the Competitive Pass offers specific daily, weekly, and seasonal objectives that players must complete.

The daily and seasonal objectives can be achieved in any of the three modes, while each mode will receive its own weekly objectives. The daily and weekly objectives will be regularly updated and vary in difficulty and randomness for each gamer.

To further fuel competition, most weekly objectives will also require success in games to make progress. Daily and seasonal objectives can be progressed through wins and losses.

Another change in the Competitive Pass will be with the exclusive player items. Each season, there will be two Competitive Pass-exclusive player items that players can earn. Each player has two versions: "Limited" and "Base".

The "Base" version will be similar to items from Madden NFL 23 and will be Bind on Delivery (BND) and have Champion-level abilities (with a few extras).

The "Limited" version of that player can only be obtained by the first 1000 users to reach the level that rewards the player. This limited version will have additional Champion-level ability buckets and can be traded.

Madden NFL 24: MUT Champs

This year, MUT Champs will NOT require a token for entry. It will still take place weekly, but each iteration will refresh every Friday, giving players a week to complete the Champs objectives in the Competitive Pass.

This change with the Friday refreshes brings MUT Champs in line with the Competitive Pass, as it will be the fastest way to progress and earn rewards.

Champion Sets

Some changes have been made to make Champion Sets more accessible this year. Some of these sets now require ANY Non-BND (Bind on Delivery) players of a given OVR (Overall Rating), rather than requiring Heroes from that program.

The first program where this change will be visible is Headliners. Instead of requiring five Headliners Heroes as before, it will now require five players with ANY OVR between 84-85.

Madden Championship Series

The Madden Championship Series is returning to Ultimate Team for the Madden NFL 24 season. We have written a detailed article about MCS 24, which you are welcome to read. There is a total of 1.7 million dollars in the prize pool.

Those were the most important news about Madden NFL 24 Ultimate Team. As soon as we receive further information, we will certainly inform you.
