The Chinese Dota 2 superstar team was made in the middle of September but now Sylar will be replacing Eurus in the lineup.
We've already had a glimpse of the Chinese superstar Dota 2 team. Four Angry Men more commonly known as 4AM have entered the Dota 2 scene. Rumors of their intentions were around for the past few months and the squad they wanted seemed impossible at first. As more and more players were shuffled in the Chinese scene it became apparent that the roster was slowly forming up. The team would be known as Elephant.4AM due to a partnership with another Chinese brand.
The reveal came a few weeks back and we were all pretty certain that Zhang "Eurus" Chengjun would be part of the legendary squad. After all, he went inactive in Vici Gaming after two of his teammates, Zhou "Yang" Haiyang and Bai "rOtK" Fan already left VG on September 1. Yang and rOtK were also confirmed as part of the upcoming 4AM team. Eurus, on the other hand, was replaced by Liu "Sylar" Jiajun who last played for EHOME but became inactive yesterday.
According to the post, 4AM didn’t hold their end of the bargain by backing out at the last moment which left Eurus hanging. Whether Eurus will remain with Vici remains to be seen as the team already announced a new lineup. By the looks of it, rOtK will start coaching in 2021. Even without Eurus, the team’s roster is still quite impressive.
It’s not really clear when we’ll see the team in action as there are currently two ongoing events in China – The OGA Dota PIT Season 3 China and China Dota2 Pro Cup Season 1. The latter is coming to an end tomorrow and there doesn’t seem to be any upcoming tournaments during this month.
