This year’s Dota 2 Battle Pass offers a lot in terms of content and not everything is out yet. Will it all truly end within a month?
The Dota 2 2020 Battle Pass was released back on May 25, which was a few weeks later than the usual date each year. In late June Valve announced they’ll be extending the duration of the Battle Pass by one week changing it from September 12 to 19.
In today's update we will be extending the Battle Pass end date by a week, from Sep 12 to Sep 19. We have also made a few improvements to the Game Coordinator today, and will continue to investigate some more clues related to the extreme load surge that happened at 4AM Seattle.

The End of the Battle Pass
Supposedly, this year’s Battle Pass will come to an end on September 19. Looking at all the unreleased content though, we could see another announcement by Valve soon. There’s only one month left and Dota 2 players are still missing the Pudge persona, the Windranger arcana, Immortal Treasure III, and the level 75 announcer pack. Since Valve releases new content every few weeks or so, it’s hard to imagine all of the above will be released within the span of a single month. We’re talking about Valve after all.

Just the other day the company introduced the second edition of the Collector’s Cache. A series of exclusive skins, which much like the ones in the Battle Pass will only be available for a limited amount of time. In terms of prize money for The International 10 we’re expecting some record-breaking numbers. Currently, the total sum is over $33,516,684. In comparison, the prize for the previous edition of the biggest Dota 2 event was $34,330,068.
That means it’s only a million away before TI10 surpasses its predecessor. Judging by the amount of unreleased content, we have no doubt that Valve will succeed in their goal.
There are plenty of players that are still at low levels in their Battle Pass. According to Stratz, 1.1 million players are above level 75, while 743,413 are over level 225, with 52 907 went beyond 1000, and only 5,511 standing above level 2000. Only one player is over level 60,000, though, and you surely know who that is.
With the coronavirus pandemic still raging throughout the world, LAN events aren’t something we should be expecting soon. There’s also no date for The International 10 and we can only speculate it’ll take place in 2021 instead of this year. All of this leads us to believe that Valve just might extend the duration of the Battle Pass yet again. What do you think? Share your opinion on our Facebook page!
