Owners of the Dota 2 2020 Battle Pass now have a chance to get a better deal than usual as Valve released the Battle Level Bundle for a few days.
The 2020 Battle Pass in Dota 2 is arguably the most valuable one in recent years. It offers a total of five exclusive skins most of which aren’t even released yet. Those are:
- Wraith King arcana - released
- Queen of Pain arcana - released
- Windranger arcana
- Pudge persona
- Anti-mage persona
Collectors who want to get all of those will need to reach level 575 of the Battle Pass. That’s no easy task considering that if you complete all challenges you’ll get to around 150. The next best thing is simply throwing money to GabeN which is much easier for people like the Saudi Prince.
Valve made things better for the next few days as yesterday the company released the Battle Level bundle. It’ll be available only for a couple of days until June 28.
So what’s in it?
For the humble price of $29.99 players will get 120 extra levels, 9 x Immortal Treasure I, 6 x Immortal Treasure II and 3 x Immortal Treasure III.
This bundle offers 75% savings on the combined value of the levels and treasures, and will contribute 25% of each sale directly to The International 10 prize pool. Each customer can buy up to two bundles.
So is it worth it? Definitely. Should you buy it? It’s entirely up to you. If you’re behind in levels and have money to spare, Valve’s deal is definitely a good one. Chances are if you don’t buy a bundle for the entirety of the Battle Pass you’ll only be able to get the exclusive map at level 160. We still have no clue how many levels the unreleased summer events will offer but we doubt it'll be in the hundreds. There’s a limit of two bundles per customer so the company made sure players will still be buying in the later stages of the Battle Pass. Recently Valve also announced the end date of this year’s Pass when they extended it by one week from September 12 to September 19.
Why did Valve release a bundle so early?
The answer is simple really. PR. If we take a look at our favorite graph, we'll notice that this year's prize pool was starting to head a bit down.
Valve are quite aware of the dangerous game they're playing. Each year the prize pool for The International gets higher and higher. If they allow it to drop lower when compared to last year the rumors will instantly start. Since GabeN doesn't want that, everyone now gets a chance to buy the Battle Bundle, the results of which we can already see in the graph.
