The Great EarlyGame URF Tier List Guide

Pick URF has returned to League of Legends with patch 10.10. Our URF Tier List is designed to help you pick the best URF champions for the event!

Ultra Rapid Fire is the most popular League of Legends game mode ever. In fact, URF was so popular when it was released that Riot Games was forced to make the main game even more sparkling and fun to avoid losing players when the game mode was disabled. To get the most out of the short spell on the live servers, we've put together a guide to the URF tier list, with the best URF champions for even more gameplay enjoyment.

Pick URF was activated on Thursday, May 14th, for the first time in 2020, but it is not yet known how long the game mode will remain on the live servers - hopefully long.

In this URF ranking, all 148 champions are ranked according to their strength in Ultra Rapid Fire and their likely win rate. We have champions that benefit from unlimited mana and low cooldowns in S-Tier. On the other hand, those who have difficulty using the awesome buff of URF are listed in the D-Tier.

Tier-D

League of Legends Aphelios
D: Aphelios, Azir, Gnar, Kled, Miss Fortune, Mordekaiser, Nunu & Willump, Olaf, Rammus, Rek'Sai, Sejuani, Sion, Tahm Kench, Taric, Trundle, Yorick, Zilean.
D+: Anivia, Braum, Cho'Gath, Gangplank, Graves, Illaoi, Nasus, Neeko, Nidalee, Quinn, Senna, Shyvana, Singed, Sona, Soraka, Swain, Twisted Fate, Xerath.

Aphelios (Tier D)This is Aphelios' first experience with URF, but it is unlikely to be recorded as a pleasant one. The 80% cooldown reduction is strong on champions who have 4 abilities, Aphelios has 2.And not only that. The hero is also extremely squishy and immovable, which means he can easily be blown up by players like Fizz, Katarina and Zed. So if you don't want to try the full attack speed of Aphelios, don't choose the Lunari in your URF games.Senna (Tier D+)Senna is another champion who will participate in her very first Pick URF this week, but like Aphelios she will probably have to fight - literally... This is due to her early low attack range and her dependence on scaling to affect the map. Still, low cooldown on Dawning Shadow could be a plus for her!

Tier-C

Volibear
While the new Volibear is already in the starting blocks, we can say goodbye to the old Volibear in URF. (Image credit: Riot Games)
C: Alistar, Amumu, Bard, Corki, Gragas, Janna, Kennen, Kindred, Lissandra, Poppy, Renekton, Taliyah, Thresh, Tristana, Udyr, Warwick.
C+: Brand, Darius, Dr. Mundo, Elise, Galio, Heimerdinger, Jarvan IV, Kayn, Kog'Maw, Nami, Nautilus, Nocturne, Ornn, Pyke, Shen, Sivir, Talon, Urgot, Varus, Viktor, Volibear, Zoe.

Alistar (Tier C)The constant stunning and knocking up of the opponent with Pulverizes and Headbutts can be fun, but it definitely doesn't do any damage. Sure, you can combine Alistar with a high damage output to make the enemy's life a living hell, but there are far better options than the Minotaur.Volibear (Tier C+)It's almost time to say goodbye to Volibear, as the revised Relentless Storm will soon arrive on the League of Legends live server. What better farewell could there be than to play Voli in URF and permanently destroy your enemies with Rolling Thunder?

Tier-B

Fiddlesticks Rework Art 1
The reworked fiddelsticks also celebrates its premiere in URF. (Image credit: Riot Games)
B: Fiddlesticks, Irelia, Leona, Pantheon, Rakan, Skarner, Xin Zhao, Zac, Ziggs.
B+: Aurelion Sol, Caitlyn, Draven, Evelynn, Jayce, Jinx, Karma, Karthus, Kha'Zix, Malzahar, Maokai, Orianna, Rumble, Vel'Koz, Xayah, Zyra.

Fiddlesticks (Tier B-)Fiddlesticks is another champion who will have his first appearance after his rework in Ultra Rapid Fire. Due to the fact that the champion hasn't changed much, we don't expect much difference to his old days in URF. It's definitely worth trying Ancient Fear for a game or two though!Karma (Tier B+)Karma: Just as annoying as Zoe, but worse. That's the karma of URF. Yeah, okay the pun was a little dull, but dull is being permanently poked by Karma's soulflares, which can be subtly annoying through a full AP build both in the laning phase and during team fights. The damage isn't even the most unpleasant part, it's the 50% slow that will frustrate us endlessly.

Tier-A

Lol Sett
The Boss will have his fun with the permanent beatings in URF. (Image credit: Riot Games)
A-: Aatrox, LeBlanc, Lulu, Ryze, Sylas, Tryndamere, Vayne, Yasuo.
A: Ahri, Akali, Blitzcrank, Camille, Cassiopeia, Ivern, Morgana, Teemo, Veigar, Wukong.
A+: Annie, Garen, Hecarim, Jax, Kalista, Kassadin, Kayle, Master Yi, Rengar, Riven, Sett, Syndra, Twitch.

Tryndamere (Tier A-)Garen's "spin to win" strategy should have been copyrighted before URF was released because Tryndamere picked it up at the first opportunity.Crazy attack speed, a short cooldown on Mocking Shout, and an ever-available Gap-Closer through Spinning Slash make the Barbarian King one of the most powerful and annoying champions in URFWukong (Tier A)Wukong can now use Cyclone twice instead of just once and was quite overwhelming in the solo queue. Whether the mini rework made the Monkey King stronger or weaker in URF remains to be seen, but beating the entire opposing team with such a short cooldown makes Wukong one of the stronger hitters in URF 2020.Sett (Tier A+)Sett is the only new champion to appear in our URF Tier list above Tier D, as it is clear how much damage he can take with an unlimited supply of Haymakers and Show Stoppers. When you get within range of a set Facebreaker, there may be no escape as he brutally knocks you down.

Tier-S

Katarina
Beautiful and deadly: Katarina will literally turn our heads. (Image credit: Riot Games)
S-: Diana, Ekko, Fiora, Lucian, Qiyana.
S: Ezreal, Jhin, Lux, Malphite, Vladimir, Yuumi.
S+: Fizz, Kai'Sa, Katarina, Lee Sin, Shaco, Zed.

Diana (Animal S-)Lunar Rush has been moved from Diana's Ultimate to her e-spell since the last time URF was available. This means that she can now more often close the gap to her opponents to duel with them. Special attention should be paid to Diana's deadly Lunar Rush - Moonfall combo - as every Diana player will try to land it in every single game of Ultra Rapid Fire.Ezreal (Tier S)Ezreal was the original URF King because of his endless, agonizing barrage of mystic shots and the high mobility made possible by Arcane Shift. Whether you build an AP or AD Ezreal, you will always be a threat that your enemies will have to deal with first.Katarina (Tier S+)S+ in the solo cue and S+ in URF: Katarina is wreaking havoc in League of Legends and could be a champion that needs to be banned when you cue for Ultra Rapid Fire in the coming weeks. Katarina is already benefiting from low cooldowns thanks to Voracity and becomes a reset monster in URF. She jumps with Shunpo from blade to blade and rains down countless bouncing blades on her opponents. Kata is an absolute horror monster with 80% cooldown reduction. And this without mentioning how often she will blow us up with Death Lotus.

That was our ranking for the animal list in URF. And now, into battle! For more news about League of Legends, esports and gaming just go to EarlyGame.
