The entire Part 1 of our journey into the life and times of Finn “karrigan” Andersen was focused on his personal life. This time, we will talk about his success as a professional CS:GO player, trophies he won and so much more.
How Did it All Start for Karrigan?
Truth be told, karrigan was already very popular in Counter-Strike 1.6. However, no one knew how smart he was and that he was actually an insane caller.
His first serious team was mousesports. In early 2013, karrigan actively represented the German CS:GO organization as they played a total of 8 events. However, the results were not that good and only 4 months after signing for mouz, Finn returned to fnatic.
Several tournaments later and nothing had changed. Series of bad results forced karrigan away from the Swedish esports franchise.
After playing 4 events with Playing Ducks, Finn found success – the first-ever trophy in his career came at ESL Pro Series Germany: Summer 2013.
In 2014, the Danish IGL represented Reason Gaming. This team was either dominating everyone in the event or they were eliminated straight away. This strategy and not a very good overall form forced karrigan away and he was once again in search of a good home.
Throughout 2014, Finn played for both mousesports and Copenhagen Wolves. From our perspective, these two times did not look good and both teams found themselves on the losing side of things in most events.
In late 2014, Finn finally found success with the newly-formed team Dignitas. First, Dignitas were able to qualify for the MLG Aspen Invitational EU qualifier. This led to the third overall spot in the MLG X Games Aspen Invitational.
It is safe to say that a lot of teams believed that karrigan was the next big thing and ultimately, TSM managed to grab in early 2015. The results for imminent – to start things off, TSM won 99Damage Masters #1.
This propelled TSM to win several other titles such as PGL CS:GO Championship Series, Faceit League 2015, Alienware Area 51 Cup Final, Fragbite Masters Season 4. But out of all of these events, TSM and karriganwere still unable to win a Major.
Here are the notable results karrigan acquired during his time with TSM:
- 99Damage Masters #1
- PGL CS:GO Championship Series Kick-off Season
- FACEIT League 2015 Stage I Finals
- Alienware Area 51 Cup #2
- Fragbite Masters Season 4
- FACEIT 2015 Stage 2 Finals
- Counter Pit League
- PGL CS:GO Championship Series Season 1: Finals
How Karrigan Made History
In late 2015, the entire TSM roster decided to part ways with the organization and create their own team. Yes, you heard it right. They were the owners and founding fathers of the best CS:GO team ever – Astralis.

Throughout 2016, karrigan played under the Astralis banner. From our perspective, at that time, the team did not look that good and it was time for a change for our Dane. On October 13, 2016, karrigan played his last game for the Danish-based roster.
Leading a Team of Superstars – Easy, Right?
What would you say if someone offered you to lead a team of superstars? You would probably take the job as “these guys will just dominate everyone.” It maybe seems like that on paper, but the reality is very different.
FaZe Clan allowed karrigan to create a team of his choosing. Results took time and 12 tournaments later, Faze Clan won StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3 by beating Astralis in the grand final. But that doesn't mean it was easy.

A couple of months after that, FaZe stringed a series of excellent results by winning ESL One: New York 2017 and ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017.
Towards the end of 2017, karrigan led FaZe Clan to win Esports Championship Series Season 4 Finals where they won $250,000 in prize money.
The year 2018 difficult for karrigan, especially after the ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 and an awful loss to Cloud9.
It took FaZe a while to recover. Intel Extreme Masters Sydney was highly contested, but karrigan and the squad stood firm and eventually, they lifted the trophy. The Last event karrigan won with FaZe Clan was EPICENTER 2018.
After this event, a series of bad results forced another change of org and karriganwas shipped off to North America where he was loaned out to Envy.
Which events did karrigan win with FaZe?
- StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3
- ESL One: New York 2017
- ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017
- Esports Championship Series Season 4 - Finals
- IEM Sydney 2018
- ESL One: Belo Horizonte 2018
- EPICENTER 2018
Putting the Pieces Together – Mousesports
Truth be told, mousesports is probably karrigan’s final chance of fulfilling his dreams. He basically led a team of youngsters that were still very inexperienced and things have been working out so far.
It seems like mouz got the perfect guy in Finn – a veteran of the game who can pass on his knowledge and lead the team.
The German-based CS:GO organization started really well by winning DreamHack Open Tours 2019. After that, they won both CS:GO Asia Championship 2019 and ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals. Decent performance at cs_summit 5 won them another trophy.
In 2020, mousesports won a single trophy, but they were very close to winning several more events.
Here is a quick breakdown of everything karrigan won with mousesports:
- ICE Challenge 2020
- cs_summit 5
- ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals
- CS:GO Asia Championship 2019
- GG.bet Beijing Invitational
- DreamHack Open Tours 2019
All in all, this appears to be the final stop forkarrigan. Since he is still without that Major trophy in his cabinet, we hope that he will win at least one Major in his career as he definitely deserves one.
