Last time we reported that the Saudi Crown Prince was the owner of the highest level Dota 2 Battle Pass. In the last week, things have changed.
The Dota 2 Battle Pass has been out for a few weeks now and players are slowly advancing through the levels. Some are much faster than others though.
The Saudi Crown Prince was at the top of the Battle Pass leaderboards with over 22,000 levels.
In the last week someone took over the first spot by spending $20,000.
The mysterious challenger has a private profile on Steam so it’s hard to tell who it actually is. Perhaps another member of the royal family is trolling the Crown Prince? In any case, the Saudi Prince is slowly making his way up and as you can see, currently the difference is (only) 5,000 levels. It’s ironic because most players might never reach that number, while it’s considered a small margin for the top contributors. Unlike the rest, the prince is also one of the most active Dota 2 players when compared to the rest of the leaderboard. In case you were wondering where the prince lives most of the time, take a look below.
If you want to be his friend on Steam you can give it a shot, but bear in mind that he has quite a lot of restrictions. For good reason.
I'm really sorry, but, unfortunately, since there are thousands of friend requests and some people who I accept their friend requests turn out to be rude and weird and don't bother to talk or play, I decided to only accept friend requests from people I play and talk with. We can only imagine the number of messages and friend requests the prince receives on a daily basis and how many of them might be scammers. It’s probably not easy. On the other hand, the prince might’ve attended incognito some Dota 2 tournaments.
Q: Do you go to The International, Majors, and events ... etc?A: Yes, I go to some of them. I actually got invited by the Government of China to go to The International 2019 with friends! (Source: his Steam account)
With the way things are going, we’ll probably see the Saudi royal member once again on top of the Battle Pass leaderboard. Considering that in past years the records set by him were usually over 100,000 levels we won’t be surprised if he does it again. Prince Salman has put thousands of hours into Dota 2, so it’s no secret he’s a big fan of the game. This year’s Battle Pass offers quite a lot of exclusives and there’s no doubt he acquired everything there is already. Abdullah bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is also collecting some of the most expensive Dota 2 items which usually cost over tens of thousands of dollars. Any further levelling of his Pass will be purely out of love for the game and community.
