Riot must be pretty happy with the current state of the support role. For the second patch in a row not a single change to any support champion has been made, leaving the field open for various different picks. We've listed a few of the top picks for this Patch – and even though the support meta hasn't changed, our list sure has.
In this LoL tier list, we'll show you the best champions for each lane. We especially focus on win rate and the carry potential because you often have to carry your teammates in any given game. Today, we will take a look at the Support position.
Which Support Picks Are Strong in LoL Patch 10.19?
5. Bard (Win Rate: 51.9%)
Are you sick and tired of being stuck next to your ADC? Well, Bard is the roaming support for you. He is excellent in the mid-game and his ultimate: Tempered Fate can turn losing fights into winnable ones. If the enemy team is doing dragon, but your jungler is just coming back from a recall then Tempered Fate can slow down the play and help you win the dragon fight. Giving your jungler the time needed to get to the objective and win that smite-fight. Bard brings Crowd Control and AoE damage to any team comp. He helps initiate team fights and also gives your team a way to escape in case you’ve overstepped your boundaries.
4. Janna (Win Rate: 53.0%)
Janna’s win rate isn’t just pure luck. Her peel is incredible with three different crowd control spells. Her W – Zephyr slows champions, while her Q knocks them up, and her ultimate knocks enemies back. So while your enemies are slowed or knocked up, her passive boosts her own and nearby ally's movement speed. This will only enable them to get the kill. Her kit is truly infuriating for an assassin or ADC on the opposite team since she can merely stun them and then retreat. Add in Arcane Comet and you can even poke at enemies during the laning phase.
3. Morgana (50.0%)
Morgana is a great pick-up if you couldn't get Lux or Lulu, since she provides some of the best defense against hard cc with her E – Black Shield. This is invaluable within any team fight since she is able to protect tanks or carries from any all-ins the enemy might try. Her bindings and ultimate can lock down any target. This will only enable your ADC to get ahead and together you’ll be able to snowball any game. For ultimate poke and pushing power pick up the Arcane Comet rune so you can dominate the lane with your ADC.
2. Lulu (Win Rate: 52.1%)
Enabling your ADC is key to this patch, which is why so many enchanter supports have made it onto our list. Lulu’s whole kit is meant to enable her ADC and to cause as much damage to the opponent as possible. Her W – Whimsy can either give her partner attack and movement speed or slow enemies. Lulu is an early game monster because her kit and enables her ADC to farm safely.
Her help within a team fight is also insane through her ultimate, which can buff any champion. She can cast her ultimate on a tank, making them even harder to kill, while also shielding and healing her carry with her other abilities. Her kit lets her win the lane and team fights, making her dangerous in all phases of play.
1. Lux (Win Rate: 50.3%)
Lux has risen to the top of this patch. She is one of the best utility supports in the game. Her crowd control can be used for both peeling as well as making picks. She has some of the best crowd control in the game, with her Q – Light Binding as well as her E – Lucent Singularity. She is pretty safe in the early game thanks to her cc abilities.
What also makes her so strong this patch is her shielding ability. Her shields can block an insane amount of damage and protect multiple teammates at the same time. This lets your team play aggressively without worrying about being insta-killed. She is a very strong pick if you want to play aggressive and win a lane.
