Twitch, the king of live-streaming platforms, has implemented a special esports section right into its front page, making live tournaments, VODs, and highlights of competitive games easier to watch than ever.
If you’re a serious gaming fan, you are probably spending a good portion of your free time on Twitch anyway. Maybe even more so lately, with the combination of the unfortunate global lockdown situation and the free Valorant key drops during live streams.
Well, if you’ve been paying attention in the past few days, a brand new tab has appeared in the upper end of the Twitch home page dibbed “Esports”. When you click it, you get exactly what it says on the tin - a special section for competitive gaming.
The Esports tab sports a few sections. Right on top, you’ll find a list of competitive games that are currently being streamed. This is followed by a Live Matches section, and right below it is non-live content in Replays & Highlights. Scrolling down will reveal a list of individual games with their own live streams going on and it all ends with the profiles of selected pro gamers.
On top of games and highlights, the platform also features interviews, commentary, and analysis - staple esports content and something competitive games like to see.
