The Beyond The Summit Season 3 Europe/CIS came to an end yesterday with Vikin.gg taking the champion’s title.
The BTS Pro Series Season 3 Europe/CIS started back on September 12 and came to an end yesterday, September 30. Over the past two weeks, the 9 participating teams clashed and at the end, Vikin.gg came out on top.
BTS Pro Series S3 Europe/CIS: The Group Stage
During the group stage, clear leaders were mudgolems and Vikin.gg. The former is a brand-new team founded by former Ninjas in Pyjamas/Alliance players Adrian "Fata" Trinks and Neta "33" Shapira. They managed to defeat everyone except Khan and HellRaisers where the series ended in a tie. By the end of the groups, one team had to leave and that was Danil “Dendi” Ishutin’s B8. The squad was once again at the bottom, losing against 7 of the other teams and getting a tie versus Team Empire.
BTS Pro Series S3 Europe/CIS Playoffs
The playoffs started this Sunday on September 27. While mudgolems had a good run and made it to the grand finals through the upper bracket the case wasn’t the same with Vikin.gg. The team may have started in the upper bracket, but they were instantly knocked down by NiP. Once in the lower bracket, they had to take out 5men, Khan, and NiP. They managed to earn their spot at the grand finals where they faced mudgolems. Surprisingly, it was a complete stomp in favor of Vikin.gg with a final score of 3:1. Fata and co weren’t able to take a single game of the rising stars.

For their first-place finish, Vikin.gg claimed $21,000 in prize money. It has been some time since the team won an event as their last victory was back in May during the Cyber.bet Cup: Spring Series – EU. That’s not to say Vikin.gg are unsuccessful. In fact, it’s quite the opposite, the team has steadily climbed from the Tier 2 and 3 scene to compete with the best the region has to offer. Most recently they played in the OMEGA League Immortal Division where they placed 7-8th. A very decent placement considering the competition.
Viking.gg's roster consists of:
- Indji "Shad" Lub
- Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan
- Tobias "Tobi" Buchner
- Adam "Aramis" Moroz
- Melchior "Seleri" Hillenkamp
The team’s next stop will be ESL One Germany which is set to kick off on October 6.
