Patch 10.21 is going live this week and many changes are in store for us. Riot has already made a small B-Patch for 10.20 which came out a couple of days ago, where some of the overperforming champions got a slight decrease.
Aphelios’ starting mana has been decreased from 120 to 90, while Janna had her max mana increased from 50 to 60. Ashes’ Hunter’s Focus bonus attack speed reduced from 50/75/300 to 45/65/300 and Veigars’ Dark Blossom damage reduced from 500/650/1,000 to 450/600/900.
Spirit also saw a mini nerf in the B-patch reducing the attack speed given from 35/80 to 35/70.
So, these slight changes have affected the gameplay and we’re here to help you navigate which comps to play until even more changes come to the world TFT next week.
Moon + Spirit
For this comp to work you’ll have Aphelios as your carry. Equip him with Guardian Angel and Quicksilver to keep him safe, while also adding Guinsoo’s Rageblade for the ultimate attack speed boost. Getting a Moonlight Chosen would be perfect, but it is not completely necessary for this comp. The Key is to slow roll to level 5 to try and 3-Star Lissandra and Diana. Afterwards, you’ll have to try and 3-Star Aphelios so you can eventually have that sweet 4-Star buff. Getting 4-Spirit champs are also key so that Aphelios will be able to gain as much attack speed as possible, so his turrets can bring the pain.
Vanguard + Mystic
This might look like a very defensive build, since mystic and vanguard are both armor and magic resist synergies. To start things off any combination with Vanguard will be fine, but Sharpshooter is a very nice early-game strategy. You can build your items onto Nidalee and then sell her and add the items onto Ahri who is the main carry for this composition. Equip her with a GA as well as two Jeweled Gauntlet items. In the mid-game, you should pick up your Mystic champions, such as Yuumi and Cassio.
Managing to get your hands on Sejuani would also be ideal since she is a very strong Vanguard champion who can also deal a lot of damage, especially if you give her Sunfire Cape and Morellonomicon. Keep your Ahri safe and she can dish out damage from the backline almost untouched.
Elderwood
This is probably the easiest of the three comps and will surely get you into the top 4 each round. In the initial stages of the game, just pick up any Elderwood champion you can get your hands on and try to Star them up. Also, get a Tahm Kench for that Brawler Synergy. You can easily replace him with Nunu in the later stages of the game. You’ll put all your items onto Veigar who is the main carry of this composition. Give him Hextech Gunblade as well as Blue Buff so he can heal and attack at all times. As your frontline, you’ll have Hecarim, Nunu, and Maokai and in the late game, getting a Sejuani would also be ideal to have some Vanguard extra-armor.
These are three of the strongest comps on the current TFT Patch, even with the slight nerf to Aphelios as well as Spirit it is still very strong and viable to use when trying to climb the ranked ladder in TFT.
