What is behind the bunkers on the huge map of Verdansk in the latest multiplayer hit Call of Duty: Warzone? The mystery that has kept players busy since the release about a month ago has finally been cracked. Even if more by chance.
The enthusiasm for the Battle Royale shooter Call of Duty: Warzone is unbroken. Only a few days ago the Free2Play action title was able to crack the incredible mark of 50 million players. Is this because Warzone does things differently in direct comparison? One does not know. Neither does what is hidden behind the mysterious bunkers on the map of Verdansk. At least for now.

What is hidden in the bunkers of Call of Duty: Warzone?
As befits a good Battle Royale shooter, the gigantic map of Call of Duty: Warzone also contains a secret, as not all buildings can be entered. Those who have already taken a look at the current multiplayer hit will probably have inevitably come across the huge bunker facilities.
Some of them are equipped with a code lock, which cannot be cracked at the moment. What plans Activision is pursuing with the bunkers has been a mystery to fans since the game's release.
Twitter user KINGMAN124 managed to look behind the massive steel doors of the bunkers with a glitch. The result is not very spectacular, but allows some speculation.
While the entrance area was still elaborated in detail, behind it there is only a coarse textured stone path. There is no trace of rooms, corridors and other details. But can that really be all?

Are we expecting loot chambers like in Apex Legends?
The fact that Call of Duty: Warzone has learned a lot from Respawn’s Battle Royale hit Apex Legends is something that everyone should have noticed by now and players would like to see another Apex feature that should make its way into the game.
Now there are many different theories about the bunkers in Call of Duty: Warzone. Can we expect some kind of loot chamber inside the bunkers in a coming season? Players would have to find codes to open the door and reveal valuable loot over the course of a round? It's possible.
Opening the bunkers might trigger an in-game event that loads the textures. To save resources and load as few unnecessary details as possible, Call of Duty: Warzone already uses this system. For example, the huge map is only loaded roughly when you are in the Gulag.
However, it would also be conceivable that the bunkers on Verdansk are merely decorative design elements that are intended to make the map more lively, but have no further use.
It remains to be seen what the developers intend to do with the bunkers in the future. After all, Season 3 has only just started with some fresh ideas and even if there’s nothing intended for the bunkers right now, that could all change in the future.
