Doomsday is the live event for the end of Chapter 2, Season 2 in Fortnite. In v12.30 the building of this event started and is now in full swing. The event will be the first seasonal live event in Fortnite: Chapter 2.
We are approaching Season 3 and as we know Epic Games, the end of Season 2 will be celebrated with another big live event. The Doomsday Event is the name that a leaker gave to the event, as Epic Games has not yet officially announced it.
The interesting thing about all this is that Fortnite is pushing this event behind the scenes rather than bringing it into the game. We only see small changes, but we still don't know exactly what it is all about. However, there are rumors about what is going to happen.
What is Doomsday?
Eagle-eyed players have been able to see changes on the map and in the lobby for a few weeks now. The most recent one took place on May 19, and it looks like the Doomsday event will soon reach its peak. But what is the background?
Midas has started to work with his crew on a device that is powered by electricity. It's hidden in the agent's office. After a while, the hatches around the agency began to glow with the force, soon the device began to turn on and work like mad, as more cables were seen above the lobby.Another set of cables has recently appeared in the lobby, indicating that we seem to be getting closer to the fulfillment of the grand plan.

What will happen with all this remains to be seen. Some suspect that the device will siphon off all the water around the Agency through the hatches and then the fight between Ghost and Shadow will begin.
Others suspect exactly the opposite and believe that soon the whole map will be flooded. Drought or flood, which will happen?
When will the event take place?
Fortnite Season 3, if there are no changes, will debut on June 4. This means that we still have some time before the happening. As in the previous seasons, the Season Finale will take place shortly before. We'll probably also get a timer again to be able to prepare even better for the event.

Chances are Epic Games will soon release the first teasers to create more hype. Since the current season has been extended by a whole month, it could well take this additional hype. We can only hope that there won't be something in between again and that we can experience the season finale and Doomsday soon.
