According to a leak by Rod Breslau, an already recorded Twitch Rivals event will be broadcasted for the first time this upcoming Friday. April 3 is also when most Valorant streamers will be giving away keys.

At this point, it’s no secret that there was a Valorant event in the past weekend. Now according to Rod Breslau, who’s usually spot on with his insider information, it was a partnership between Riot Games and Twitch.

Apparently the pros, content creators and streamers took part in a Twitch Rivals event in the last few days and on April 3 we’ll get to see what happened. Sadly, it won’t be a live event but the recording will be fitted with casters and we might just recognize some familiar faces from Twitch. We’ve already noted that TimTheTatman and xQc were main suspects for taking part in the weekend event and we’ll see if our guess was correct.

Not much else is known about the event and it remains a mystery what the total number of players was. Whether there was a prize pool also remains to be seen. Riot Games already confirmed that the official start of the closed beta will come on April 7.

If you follow all the steps to register a Riot account and link it with Twitch you’ll quickly find out that most eligible Valorant streamers have revealed an earlier date as the start of the closed beta key giveaway. It comes as no surprise that this date is April 3 and it’s almost certain that once the broadcast starts, viewers will start earning keys, but they’ll probably have to wait until the official start of the beta on April 7.

This will be the first time we see full in-game footage for a whole match. So far we’ve only had trailers and short clips showing us some of the different weapons, agents and their skills. The exact time of the Twitch Rivals broadcast is still unknown, so stay tuned for more Valorant updates.
