The New York-based esports organization Andbox has officially announced that they’ll be competing in Riot Games’ new tactical shooter – Valorant.
It has been well over three months since the big release of Riot’s Valorant. Organizations are still joining the game’s competitive scene in an attempt to make it big. Just yesterday we saw Andbox as the latest entry. The organization has already hosted a couple of small Valorant events like the Andbox Spring Rally: Collegiate Tournament and Andbox - The Vibrational. Andbox is also the parent company of the popular New Your Subliners, a famous Call of Duty League esports team, and the New York Excelsior in the Overwatch League.

Entering the Valorant Esports Scene
An official announcement was made on the Andbox website where we find even more information regarding the team.
Today Andbox is proud to announce another major milestone in New York esports with the introduction of a new team that will compete professionally in Riot Games’ VALORANT under the New York banner.
Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of Andbox, Rohit Gupta commented:
This marks a huge milestone as we are creating the first VALORANT team that will represent New York on the world stage. It will also be the first time that one of our professional esports teams will compete using the Andbox name. We’re proud to be the organization that gave New Yorkers professional esports teams that they could call their own in the New York Excelsior and New York Subliners, and we’re excited for what’s to come as we expand into this exciting new game.
The team’s announcement came with the reveal that they’ve already signed a couple of players.
We are proud to welcome @wardino, @g0g1le, @yayFPS, and @ANDROIDX23 to the Andbox family.

While it may look like they’re only missing a player, two of the recruits will be actually coaching the team.
- Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker.
- Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor.
- Matt “Warden” Dickens - coach
- Gordan “g0g1” Prošić - assistant coach
All of the players have a CS:GO background and you know what that means. Matt “Warden” Dickens commented:
It’s incredible to be joining Andbox to launch its newest team and build a world-class professional roster from the ground-up in a truly unique way. Andbox has been the leader in putting New York on the map as a major esports and gaming hub, and I can’t wait for what’s ahead for us in VALORANT esports.
You Want to Play for Andbox?
So far, Andbox have only two players and they’ll be looking for more in collaboration with Aimlab. The latter is an esports talent assessment software that uses AI and data to measure player performance. We’re sure the team won’t settle for anything but some of the best. The best part of all this is that players will be able to give it a shot through the platform which is expected to become available later this month. If your results are great, they might be your ticket to playing for the team!
