This is a question no one wants to be asking, especially of such a highly anticipated game, but a lot of people are clearly worried about a Battlefield 2042 delay, so here are the details.
Battlefield 2042 is a hugely ambitious title, jam-packed with three modes, each big enough to justify its own title. It's understandable therefore that delays might occur. Of course, this is the very last thing that future players and fanboys want to hear, but it's the simple reality of such a massive project. We can say with some confidence though, whenever we get our hands on Battlefield 2042, it looks like it'll be a sublime shooter.
Note: We'll keep this page updated if we hear about any other Battlefield delays in the future. While the Battlefield team have had longer than say, the Call of Duty devs, who are on an annual release schedule, DICE is a smaller team, and the worst could yet come to pass.
Has Battlefield 2042 Been Delayed?
The Battlefield 2042 beta has been delayed, so while it was meant to have started already it's been pushed down the road to "later this summer" according to devs. We think this almost certainly means later in August, but it's not unthinkable that the Battlefield 2042 beta is delayed as far as September.
The full release of Battlefield 2042 looks thankfully set to release on schedule.

When Is Battlefield 2042 Released?
Battlefield 2042 is still set for a full release date of October 22 across all platforms, but don't forget, with the Gold or Ultimate editions of the game, players can access Battlefield a week early on October 15. So while the beta is having some issues, the full game is looking on course for its planned release date, but obviously, we will keep our readers updated if this changes.
