The Best Warzone 2.0 FSS Hurricane Loadout | The Mid-Range SMG

If you want a short-range option in Warzone 2.0, but you don't want to be limited to 20 m or so, then maybe the FSS Hurricane is what you're looking for. This is the SMG with the best range, which makes it viable in more situations than its counterparts. You can find the best loadout for the Hurricane below.

A lot of players seem to misunderstand the point of the Hurricane. We've heard countless stories of players picking it up, losing a 1v1 in close-range against another SMG, and declaring it useless. But it's absolutely not useless, although, it admittedly does have a worse short-range TTK than the Fennec, Vaznev, or Lachmann.

The FSS Hurricane is a weapon that bridges the gap between ARs and SMGs by offering great handling and mobility, but enough accuracy and damage-over-range to compete at 20-30 meters. It's quite unlike the other SMGs in this regard, and we think a lot of less aggressive players (who are rarely in very close-range gunfights) will favor it as their go-to SMG. You can find a full attachment guide for the FSS Hurricane below, we've included unlock paths and tunings.

  • While the FSS Hurricane is solid, it's not quite the "hard-meta". If you're only interested in the absolute top-tier, here are the best weapons in Warzone 2.

We assume that most players who use the FSS are doing so because they want to enjoy that extended range on an SMG. Therefore, we're building this more in the style of an AR, with high priority placed on recoil control and damage range. We've chosen the Phantom Grip to buy back a little more mobility, and the TV Wrecker because it's the better of the two underbarrel attachments with no negatives.

The FSS Hurricane uses the classic AR-15 iron-sights that you'll also find on the M4, Icarus, FTAC Recon, and M16. If you don't like these sights, drop the TV Wrecker Grip for a 1x like the Slimline Pro.

  • The fastest way to level-up and unlock all these attachments is by playing Modern Warfare 2.

The Best Warzone 2 Loadout For The FSS Hurricane: Secondary, Perks & Equipment

Secondary: RPK

RPK

While the FSS Hurricane has good range for an SMG, it absolutely doesn't have the range to be a main weapon in Warzone 2. You will need a secondary weapon for gunfights at range, and we can't recommend the RPK highly enough.

This is probable the very best long-range option in Warzone 2.0, at least as it stands. It has solid damage, good recoil control, and decent handling for an LMG.

Perks (Base, Bonus & Ultimate)

At least for now, we can't customize our perks, we need to pick a premade Perk Package instead. We've chosen the Specter, primarily for Ghost:

Perk Package Specter Package

Base Perk

Double Time / Tracker

Bonus PerkSpotter
Ultimate Perk

Ghost

We like having Ghost in the end game to stay off portable UAV's and standard UAV's, and we won't say no to Tracker or Double Time either. Of course, Spotter is garbage, but that's what you get with custom Perk Packages.

Equipment (Lethal & Tactical)

There are loads of awesome equipment choices right now, but we favor these two as easy-to-use, and widely-viable:

LethalSemtex
Tactical

Flash Grenade

Semtex can be used against enemies and vehicles alike, and it's pretty much always useful. And alongside Semtex we chose Flash Grenades, because these are broken in Warzone 2, and will completely blind opponents from far away.

And if you try the FSS Hurricane, and it's just not for you, here's a complete tier list of the weapons in Warzone 2.

Let's hope we get voting like this for CDL matches...
