Call of Duty: Vanguard launches with a ton of classic WWII guns. But for every gun, we have an astonishing amount of attachments to choose from, and we can use ten at once. So, where do you even begin? What attachments do you need? Don't worry, we'll give you all the answers in our Vanguard weapon setup guides. Today: the 3-Line Rifle.
The 3-Line Rifle isn't trash. It really isn't. But it's just an okay sniper, and there's really no reason to use this over the Kar. When the Kar can one-hit down to the head, and to the upper chest in MP, then there's really no reason not to use it compared to its slower rival, the 3-Line. We tried to get every ADS boosting attachment on the weapon that we could, but it just wasn't fast enough to be competitively viable at 50m and in. Instead, this build makes it more of a traditional sniper rather than an aggressive one.
Check out our tier ranking of every weapon in Vanguard for an idea of how well the weapon places.
The 3-Line Rifle Attachment Setup
- Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
- Barrel: Kovalevskaya 820MM R1MN
- Optic: Type 97 5x Telescopic
- Stock: ZAC Custom MZ
- Underbarrel: M1941 Handstop
- Magazine: .30-06 20 Round Mag
- Ammo Type: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
- Proficiency: Shrouded
- Kit: Deep Breath
With this setup, we get significantly more ammo and deal a ridiculous amount of damage. Honestly, with the ammo, your opponents just explode. The disadvantage is, of course, that you are very sluggish and slow. So the setup isn't really suitable for aggressive play, but rather for camping. Find a good position and play the 3-line rifle at a distance. Here is a ranking of all snipers in Vanguard.
The Equipment & Perks On A 3-Line Rifle Loadout
From what we've played so far, the meta loadout will look something like this:
- Secondary Weapon: Sten
- Lethal: Thermite
- Tactical: Bouncing Betty
- Perk 1: Ghost
- Perk 2: Radar
- Perk 3: Overkill
- Field Upgrade: Armour Plates
The above will almost certainly be the multiplayer meta for a 3-Line Rifle loadout unless they make serious balance changes. The Armour Plates in particular are in need of a nerf, but whether one comes... we'll have to wait and see.
