Call of Duty: Vanguard launched with a ton of multiplayer maps, and we get even more added to the game on a very regular cycle. In this article, we're going to go over the new multiplayer maps; how big they are, how they're designed and where they're set, and then we're going to introduce the next maps coming to Vanguard.

The New Vanguard Multiplayer Maps

Season 5: Reloaded comes with a new map: Fortress. Check it out below.

Vanguard Map: Fortress

Do you remember the Battlefield 2042 map set on the massive ships that are rusting awayon the beach? Yeah, imagine that in the desert. Sounds boring? We think so too. This is the image we have of it:

Here's what the devs had to say about the map:

Deploy to the Mediterranean in this medium-sized map featuring close-quarters interiors with rooftop access that grant you power positions. Fight in a maritime graveyard, where ship remains litter the desert landscape. The eponymous fortress incorporates an old ship into its own design, creating a varied landscape to be exploited by savvy Operators.

This map sounds dull, unfortunately.

How Many Maps Are There In Vanguard?

There are currently 26 6vs6 maps, 4 gunfight-sized maps and 1 big Arms Race Map. The gunfight maps are played in Vanguards new small-team mode called Champion Hill, the Arms Race map is only available in said game mode. While the other 23 maps are used for the traditional Call of Duty multiplayer modes.

What Are The Next Maps Coming To Vanguard?

The next new maps will be released with Season 6 sometime in October, but we don't have any information about them yet. Of course, we will keep you updated as soon as we find out more.

That was your overview on the new Vanguard multiplayer maps, and the next maps they've got planned. It's quite a decent flow of content, you have to admit. But we're no less hoping for a few more CoD: WaW remasters before the release of Modern Warfare 2.

Maybe MW2 is going to bring some cracking maps? Or...
