Data miners found some files that suggest the return of several popular weapons. One of them might be the Intervention sniper.
Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are great games, but the community is missing a bunch of features and complaining a lot lately. Since the launch of Warzone 2 one major complaint was the lack of one-shot snipers.
Even the biggest, heaviest snipers in the game, can't one-shot down a fully plated enemy, and players are upset about it. Yes, the devs added a one-shot sniper with the St. Patrick's Day event, but that's not enough...
Now, data miners found files with several code names of weapons that haven't been added to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 yet. Will the Intervention return and bring back the era of one-shot snipers?

Intervention Sniper Will Return To MW2 & Warzone 2
Data miners dug through the code of Modern Warfare 2 again and found some interesting files with new weapons. Here is a list of everything they found, they even added the corresponding weapons to the code names:

As we can see, there are a lot of older weapons that might soon make a comeback. Most importantly, the M200 Intervention from the original Modern Warfare 2. The Intervention is one of the most popular guns in Call of Duty history and probably the most iconic sniper ever, so a return in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 would be big.
The WA-2000, ACR; Tec-9 or APC-45 are also nice guns, but let's be honest, we all want the Intervention. And we want it to be a one-shot sniper!
We don't know any timeline yet, so these guns could be added anywhere between Season 3 and Season 5 (or even Season 6, if there is one). If you want to know, what we can expect in Season 3, check out this article:
