The PPSH-41 just sprays around with lead like there's no tomorrow. The SMG has a ridiculously high rate of fire and destroys everything in close combat, but what is the best PPSH-41 setup in Vanguard?
Call of Duty: Vanguard has launched with a ton of classic WWII guns, but for every gun, we have an astonishing amount of attachments to choose from. Seriously, Vanguard offers ten attachments slots per weapon! Where do you even begin? This is madness! Don't worry, we've got all the answers in our Vanguard weapon setup guides. And today: the PPSH-41.The PPSH-41 has a tremendous rate of fire. If you've ever played the PPSH-41 from Black Ops Cold War, you know roughly what to expect. Extreme rate of fire, deadly at short range, but miserable precision and at longer ranges it is no better from a pea shooter. As always, we try to compensate for the biggest weaknesses in our setup and offer you the best possible version of the weapon. Check out our tier list with all SMGs in Vanguard if you want to know more about the rest of the submachine guns in CoD: Vanguard.
The Best PPSH-41 Setup
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: ZAC 300mm
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Empress Custom
- Underbarrel: M1941 Handstop
- Magazine: 7.62mm Gorenko 71 Round Mags
- Ammo Type: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
- Proficiency: Tight Grip
- Kit: Fully Loaded
With ten attachments, we can do almost anything we want. With the PPSH-41 in CoD: Vanguard, we need recoil control, range and accuracy in particular. Because of the enormously high rate of fire, we also need to put the largest possible magazine on it, otherwise we'll only be reloading for half the match. With fully loaded, we make sure that we don't run out of ammo too quickly, and except for the recoil booster, which increases the rate of fire even more, all the other attachments in our setup are focused on making sure that we can hit something further than 5 meters away with the PPSH-41.
The Equipment & Perks On A PPSH-41 Loadout
From what we've played so far, the meta loadout will look something like this:
- Secondary Weapon: Panzerschreck
- Lethal: MK2 Frag Grenade
- Tactical: Stun Grenade
- Perk 1: Ghost
- Perk 2: Tracker
- Perk 3: Demolition
- Field Upgrade: Armor Plates
The above loadout will almost certainly be the multiplayer meta for a snappy SMG loadout, unless there are major balance changes coming. The armor plates in particular would need a nerf, but whether that comes... we'll have to wait and see. In general, combining frag and stun grenades with a SMG like the PPSH-41 is always a good choice. With Ghost you can silently sneak up on your enemies (great with a SMG) and Tracker marks their position on the map. The extra grenade that Demolition offers is especially useful when pushing and clearing buildings, and the Panzerschreck blasts your way clear. If you don't like launchers, you can of course also use any pistol.
