We have the best TAQ-56 setup and loadout for Warzone 2 below. The TAQ-56, or SCAR as you more likely know it, is one of the best ARs in Warzone 2. This is thanks to low-recoil and strong damage over range. Here's the best loadout for the TAQ-56, including attachments and tuning. Enjoy.
The TAQ-56, or SCAR-L, is back in Call of Duty. Now last time we saw it, in MW2019, you'll probably remember how bad it was. In both multiplayer and Warzone, it was largely irrelevant. But thankfully, the SCAR is good again!
Thanks to low-recoil and solid damage values (especially if you can consistently hit upper-torso), the TAQ-56 is viable in both the 6v6 multiplayer and Warzone 2. And what's especially nice is that it can be decent at range without being super slow. This makes it a great "do-it-all" style rifle. Here's the best attachment and loadout for the TAQ-56.
- If you're looking for other weapons from the absolute top-tier, here are the very best weapons in Warzone 2.
The Best Attachment Setup For The TAQ-56 In Warzone 2
Slot | Attachment | Attachment Tuning |
Muzzle | Sakin-Tread 40 | Recoil Stabilization (+0.65 oz) / Gun Kick Control (+0.30 in) |
Barrel | 17.5" Tundra Pro | Recoil Steadiness (+0.40 lb) / Damage Range (+0.30 in) |
Ammunition | 5.56 High Velocity | Recoil Smoothness (+0.70 g) / Bullet Velocity (+9.00 gr) |
Magazine | 60 Round Mags | Default |
Underbarrel | FTAC Ripper 56 | Recoil Stabilization (+0.80 oz) / Aiming Idle Stability (+0.40 in) |
For attachments, we really want to improve range, bullet velocity and recoil (especially vertical recoil, which is why we chose the Sakin-Tread). The muzzle, barrel and ammo are all focused on improving those stats, and the choices we went for all offer efficient tradeoffs.
You might want to use an optic, in which case we would recommend dropping the underbarrel attachment first.

The Best Loadout For The TAQ-56: Secondary, Perks & Equipment
Secondary: Lachmann Sub (MP5)
The Lachmann Sub is the absolute short-range meta right now. The KV Broadside is more lethal at extremely close-range, but if you can keep just a little space between yourself and the Broadside-user (scumbag) you should win with a Lachmann sub.
- Here is a complete guide to the Lachmann Sub.
Perks (Base, Bonus & Ultimate)
We can choose our own perks again!
Base Perk | Bomb Squad / Overkill |
Bonus Perk | Fast Hands |
Ultimate Perk | High Alert |
We need Overkill to take both primary weapons, and alongside it for our base perks, we've taken Bomb Squad because it's always useful. In the Bonus slot we took Fast Hands, for better weapon switching, but you might prefer Resupply for constant Smoke grenades. And to round us out, we chose High Alert for our Ultimate slot. This is just a great perk right now, especially while footstep audio is so poor.
Equipment (Lethal & Tactical)
Lethal | Semtex |
Tactical | Smokes |
There are lots of great options here, and we aren't suggesting these options are the meta, but for most players in most situations these are good choices. Semtex is easy to use, and it's effective against infantry and vehicles alike, while Smokes can allow you to get out of combat and reset.
If you're looking for other weapons to use instead, or to pair with the TAQ-56, you can find a complete tier list of every weapon in Warzone 2 here.
