The light machine guns in Vanguard are impressive, and the Type 11 is no different. Here's the best loadout setup guide for the Type 11.
Call of Duty: Vanguardhas launched with a ton of classic WWII guns, but for every gun, we have an astonishing amount of attachments to choose from. Seriously, Vanguard offers ten attachments slots per weapon! Where do you even begin? This is madness! Don't worry, we've got all the answers in our Vanguard weapon setup guides, And today: the Type 11.
It's great to see yet another fantastic LMG in Vanguard. So often this class of weapon is overlooked in Call of Duty, and a weapon like this - which probably isn't even the strongest LMG - would struggle to get attention. But wow, there's very little felt recoil, there's great mobility, and the additional penetration works wonderfully on Vanguard's highly-destructable maps. Seriously, get this weapon levelled and give it a spin.
Check out our tier ranking of every weapon in Vanguard for an idea of how well the Type 11 places. In the meantime, let's talk setup...
The Type 11 Attachment Setup
- Muzzle: G28 Compensator
- Barrel: Sakura 487mm Shrouded
- Optic: G16 2.5x
- Stock: Warubachi Type 33
- Underbarrel: Bipod
- Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 90 Round
- Ammo Type: FMJ Rounds
- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
- Proficiency: Driller
- Kit: Defender
It's all about the penetration. In this loadout everything is directed towards allowing us to mount up and lay down constant fire, tearing up the map and pinging enemies through walls, doors, and all other manner of obstacles. Driller is particularly effective at making this playstyle work, as is Defender but you need to remember to use the mount mechanic to make the most out of it.
This weapon has some of the most unnatural iron sights to use so more than almost any other weapon in Vanguard the optic is truly essential, but you might choose to swap the 2.5x for a slate reflector if you want more peripheral awareness.

The Equipment & Perks On A Type 11 Loadout
From what we've played so far, the meta loadout will look something like this:
- Secondary Weapon: Machine Pistol
- Lethal: Thermite
- Tactical: Stuns
- Perk 1: Ghost
- Perk 2: Radar
- Perk 3: Demolition
- Field Upgrade: Armor Plates
The above will almost certainly be the multiplayer meta for a Type 11 loadout unless they make serious balance changes. The Armor Plates in particular are in need of a nerf, but whether one comes... we'll have to wait and see.
