The brand new Cooper Carbine assault rifle is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard in Season One. How do you unlock it?
Apparently, Call of Duty: Vanguard doesn't have enough Assault Rifles for its rabid player-base, so it will be adding a brand-new one in Season One, dubbed the Cooper Carbine. Exciting, right? Well, considering how many Assault Rifles are already in the game, let alone Warzone, it seems like a bit of a disappointing choice. But hey, that's Call of Duty: Vanguard's modus operandi, so no surprises there.
Let's talk about this, though, because with Season One coming to both Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone, there's a lot to talk about. In fact, a lot has been revealed, including a lot of new content (much of which should probably have come when Vanguard released, let's be real), including two new weapons - the Gorenko Anti-Tank Sniper Rifle and, of course, the Cooper Carbine AR.
I want to be real with you: the Cooper Carbine looks pretty neat. That all being said, you won't be launching into Season One with this particular weapon straight away, seeing as you need to unlock the darn thing. To be honest, though, having played a whole lot of Halo Infinite recently, the idea of using any Carbine except for the Pulse Carbine seems pretty dull. Seriously, Halo Infinite's weapons are just that freakin' good!
That's not to say, though, that Call of Duty: Vanguard doesn't have a great arsenal. It's kind of a standard arsenal. All the usual suspects, but nothing particularly interesting. That's a bit of a shame, but it's also to be expected from a game that hardly tried to innovate. Anyway, enough of that delicious sodium chloride, let's tell you how to unlock the Cooper Carbine in Vanguard and Warzone Season One, so that we can bugger off...
How to Unlock the Cooper Carbine in Warzone and Vanguard Season 1
Unlocking the Cooper Carbine requires you to reach Tier 15 in Season One's Battle Pass. You can do this in either Call of Duty: Vanguard or Call of Duty: Warzone, as both games have cross-progression and cross-play. Thus, the Cooper Carbine is launching its way into a group of weapons that are already far too over-represented in both Warzone and Vanguard.
Additionally, it's very easy to unlock the Cooper Carbine, with Tier 15 easily accessible by simply playing the game consistently or purchasing Tier Skips for real-world money. It is a Battle Pass weapon, though, so prepare to fork $10 for the Battle Pass. I apologize for this, but what do you expect? It's Activision, guys.

The Cooper Carbine is reportedly some kind of hybrid SMG-like AR, of American origins. It has a very fast fire rate and is nice and easy to control, especially at shorter ranges. That sounds pretty promising, but we're not really sure how it will fare against the STG44, which is clearly the current Meta in Vanguard. How will Vanguard and Warzone's integration go? Well, it'll probably be a mess, but we'll have to wait and see...
